Longhua Tram Started to Charge Two RMB Per Ticket

  Recently, the Shenzhen Municipal Government approved a fare change and finalize the 2 yuan per ticket fare for Longhua tram. Longhua tram ticket can be paid via  WeChat, Alipay and other third-party payment platform. Passengers do not have to worry about lack of change, which greatly improve the quality of public travel.

  Two Yuan per Ticket, “Cloud” Ticketing by Phone

  On December 21, 2016, Shenzhen Development and Reform Commission organized a hearing for Longhua Tram demonstration price policy, which proposing three kinds of ticking price, "2 yuan / person, 2.5 yuan / person or 3 yuan / person". All representatives supported 2 yuan / person fare policy. Recently, the Shenzhen Municipal Government has passed the fare change proposal, and Longhua has finalized to be 2 yuan per ticket.

  At Bilan station, self-service ticketing machines have been installed, which allow payment by coins, banknotes, and QR code scan. It was learnt that self-service ticketing machines at stations along Longhua Tram line have finished installation. In addition to self-service ticketing machines, there are ticket-checking machines at station and on the tram. It will realize an automatic processing of ticket sales, ticket checking and fee-charging.

  It was learnt that the automatic ticketing machine at the station accepts one-yuan coin, five-yuan notes, and ten-yuan notes. It also has automatic change system, which largely benefits the public.

  Passengers can purchase tram ticket via WeChat or Alipay. In addition, the public can also use the "Shenzhen Tram" WeChat public account and Alipay to purchase ticket online. After payment, there will be a QR code generated as electronic ticket, so that passengers can use it as tram ticket. It truly realized “Cloud” ticking.

  Tickets Will Be Checked After Boarding, Tickets are Effective within 60 Minutes Once Checked

  Passengers can directly swipe ShenzhenTong card on the platform or in tram to take tram. Except for ShenzhenTong, passengers who purchased paper one-way ticket or electronic one-way ticket will need to go to ticket checking machine to scan their tickets before they can board the tram.

  Under normal circumstances, one-way ticket is only used on the same day, and each ticket is limited to one person for one ride. Passengers need to keep their ticket for inspection. After ticket is checked, the ticket is valid within 60 minutes. Passengers need to get off within 60 mintues. Once being overtime, ticket will be invalid.

  Tram Offers Similar Benefits as Subway

  ShenzhenTong holders and ShenzhenTong student card holders can enjoy 5% and 50% discount respectively. ShenzhenTong holders can enjoy another 0.4 yuan off per person each time they transfer among tram, subway and regular buses within 90 minutes.

  Children aged 6 to 14 years old or with height between 1.2 to 1.5 meters can purchase child tickets. Passengers are required to purchase child tickets from the train teller. Passengers who carry an item being more than 20 kg and less than 30 kg, or with length being greater than 1.4 meters and less than 1.6 m, will need to purchase baggage ticket equal to the value of his/her tram ticket value from a train teller.

  In addition, Longhua tram offers other similar preferential policies as Shenzhen subway. Children less than 1.2 meters in height or children under the age of 6 can take the tram for free; elder people above 65 years old (regardless of their household registration) can take tram for free with their elder citizen identity cards or valid identity documents, so do disabled people, disabled soldiers, disabled policemen.
